*Details of prior terrorist plot in USA surface
.... "The target was the U.S. Post Office and courthouse in Pittsburgh.
The
plan, involving a car and a tractor-trailer packed with explosives,
was
chillingly specific. The terrorists would focus on the back of the
courthouse, where a lone security guard was stationed. First, the driver
of
the car would pull onto the loading dock, pretend to have mechanical
trouble, and kill the guard. Then, the driver of the tractor-trailer
would
pull up next to the building and set off a detonation intended to duplicate
the 1995 attack on the Murrah federal building in Oklahoma City. Mary
Beth
Buchanan, U.S. attorney: "At or around that time, we received some
information that there were a number of federal facilities around the
country that could potentially be targets of terrorist activity. This
building was one of them....."

*Jihadists threaten 'unbearable hell'
November 05, 04 from The Telegraph in the UK: "A group linked to
Osama bin
Laden's Al-Qaeda network threatened the United States with reprisals
after
the re-election of President George W. Bush, warning of "unbearable
hell,"
in a website statement today. "The coming days will show you that
the one
you preferred will lead you to an unbearable hell," said the group
calling
itself the Abu Hafs al-Masri Brigades after the Al-Qaeda military chief
killed in Afghanistan in October 2001. It was not possible to immediately
verify the statement. The same group claimed responsibility for the
train
bombings in Madrid in March this year that killed 191 people in Spain's
worst attack and injured another 1,900. "Although the criminal
Bush has
spilt blood of Muslims during the last four years and despite the butcheries
that he committed and continues to perpetrate in Afghanistan, in Palestine
and in Iraq, we see that... the applause of his people is increasing,"
it
said. "This shows the nature of the American people who approved
the war
against Islam led by criminal America," it added." (Got that
right Bunky,
finally! And LOTS of "red" states to choose from too.)
*Iraq
The Allawi government declared a 60-day national emergency (excepting
only
Kurdistan in the north) as large US-Iraqi force masses for crucial assault
on Sunni-Zarqawi bases in Fallujah. American strike planes and artillery
continue to pound the city. Another 21 Iraqi police massacred after
insurgents smashed rockets and mortar shells into a Haditha police station
in western Anbar province. Two Iraqis were killed by a booby-trapped
car
outside Iraqi finance minister Adel Abdel Mahdi's Baghdad home. Minister
unhurt. Saturday, four car bombings and strikes against police station
left
43 people dead in Samarra, NE of Baghdad. Zarqawi gang takes responsibility.
U.S. forces stormed into western districts of Fallujah early Monday,
seizing
the main city hospital and securing two key bridges over the Euphrates
River
in what appeared to be the first stage of the long-expected assault
on the
insurgent stronghold. An AC-130 gunship raked the city with 40 mm cannon
fire as explosions from U.S. artillery lit up the night sky. Intermittent
artillery fire blasted southern neighborhoods of Fallujah, and orange
fireballs from high explosive airbursts could be seen above the rooftops.
U.S. officials said the toughest fight was yet to come — when
(estimated
20,000) American (and Iraqi) forces enter the main part of the city
on the
east bank of the river, including the Jolan neighborhood where insurgent
defenses are believed the strongest. The initial attacks on Fallujah
began
just hours after the Iraqi government declared 60 days of emergency
rule
throughout most of the country as militants dramatically escalated attacks,
killing at least 30 people, including two Americans.
*Israel
IDF (Israeli Defense Force) confirms a Lebanese pilot-less vehicle flight
observed over Israel, which Hizballah's al Manar TV claimed carried
out a
reconnaissance sortie over the northern Israeli town of Nahariya. Israeli
security experts are investigating the type of drone possibly used.

Mike, as promised, the paper is the Guardian and below is their web

*...speaking of Canada....
"Canadian spies have been pondering one of the more chilling questions
of
the post-9/11 era: Does Osama bin Laden's al-Qaida have briefcase-sized
nuclear weapons? A newly obtained intelligence report examines the
intriguing notion and concludes that whatever the answer, the terrorist
network is intent on acquiring nuclear means. The assessment revives
concerns that emerged as early as 1992 when Stanislav Lunev, a former
Russian military intelligence officer, claimed his country's intelligence
services had lost many of the portable, backpack-style devices, which
weigh
about 55 kilograms. The June 2004 report, Al-Qaida Possessing Russian
Nuclear Briefcases: Fiction or Fact?, was prepared by the national security
threat assessment centre, a federal agency housed at the Canadian Security
Intelligence Service. A copy was recently obtained by The Canadian Press
under the Access to Information Act. The heavily censored document,
portions
of which remain secret, indicates the vexing question is being taken
seriously by Canadian intelligence. "Al-Qaida is interested in
acquiring
nuclear capabilities in order to expand its attack arsenal," the
report
says."
*"Arafat's condition has not deteriorated."
A French doctor says he isn't dead, so-called Palestinians say the Egyptian
terrorist isn't dead.... I'm guessing that his condition can't deteriorate,
and he is room temperature by now. Yes, he isn't blinking, but then
again he
never did. A little "Weekend at Bernies" from the terrorists?
Arafat's wife Suha accuses "Palestinian" leaders Qureia and
Abbas, due in
Paris Monday, of intrigue to "bury Abu Amar (Arafat) alive"
in live
broadcast over Al Jazeera Arabic TV. "I appeal to you to be aware
of scale
of conspiracy." (You KNOW that word had to come up sooner or later!)
DEBKAfile's sources: Arafat's wife Suha will demand Abbas and Qureia
sign
documents drafted by her French lawyers guaranteeing her multimillion
dollar
inheritance and pension - as price for switching off life support systems.
She has controlled information on Arafat's condition and nature of mystery
illness. ("It" will all start hitting the fan on Tuesday or
Wednesday, our
Best Guess....)

*Côte d'Ivoire (Ivory Coast)
November 7, 04 "This Travel Warning is being issued to update U.S.
citizens
on the current violence that is occurring in Cote d'Ivoire and to alert
them
to ongoing safety and security concerns. The Department continues to
urge
U.S. citizens to defer non-essential travel to Cote d'Ivoire. This
supersedes the Travel Warning of June 18, 2004. On November 4, 2004,
government forces launched aerial attacks on cities in northern Cote
d'Ivoire controlled by New Forces. The attacks resulted in the deaths
of
Ivorians and non-Ivorians. The situation remains volatile and there
is the
risk of conflict throughout the country. Cell phone and landline telephone
communication with the northern New Forces-held city of Bouaki is
intermittent and electrical service has been cut since November 4, prompting
a cutoff of water in many areas. There have been numerous and on-going
violent incidents in Abidjan that have been directed against people
of
non-Ivorian appearance (so "PC": means "anybody not black"),
specific
diplomatic missions, and foreign military and international peacekeeping
operations. Anti-foreign attacks have resulted in serious injuries to
persons and property. Individuals have been pulled from vehicles, businesses
and schools entered, looted and burned, and families harassed. Land
routes
to the Ghanaian border remain open but it is too dangerous at this time
to
consider crossing the border by road. There has been fighting at the
international airport of Abidjan and as of the evening of November 6
all
flights are cancelled." Mayer (Note: the "aerial attacks"
referenced
resulted in the deaths of 9 French troops on UN Peacekeeping missions.
The
French retaliated, knocking out "the entire Ivorian air force":
two
Russian-made jets and five helicopters...... which we understand were
all
parked at the time. editor)
*A little Education about (the majority of) Americans:
Story is told about a British fellow who was visiting the USA and found
himself out West. He wanted to visit a real cattle ranch, so he approached
one and found a Cowboy sitting on a horse. The British fellow stated
"My
good man, I wish to speak with your Master". Cowboy looked the
visitor over,
spat out his chewing tobacco and quietly replied, "Son-of-a-bitch
ain't been
born yet."
So, with that in mind, here is a little education about Islam:
"Dhimmitude" is the status that Islamic law, the Sharia,
mandates for
non-Muslims, primarily Jews and Christians. Dhimmis, "protected
people", are
free to practice their religion in a Sharia regime, but are made subject
to
a number of humiliating regulations designed to enforce the Qur'an's
command
that they "feel themselves subdued" (Sura 9:29). This denial
of equality of
rights and dignity remains part of the Sharia, and, as such, are part
of the
law that global jihadists are laboring to impose everywhere, ultimately
on
the entire human race.
*The Flat Earth Society of America speaks....
November 05, 04 (CNSNews.com) - Bloggers on the liberal Democratic
Underground website have overwhelmingly labeled Nov. 3, 2004, the day
after
Election Day, "more depressing" than Sept. 11, 2001 in a poll
of online
members. Seventy-two percent of poll takers said they believed the day
Sen.
John Kerry (D-Mass.) conceded defeat in the presidential election was
more
tragic than the day more than 3,000 Americans (,,,which is incorrect,
they
weren't all Americans) were killed in the attacks on the World Trade
Center
in New York, the Pentagon in Washington, D.C., and on a hijacked plane
that
crashed in a Pennsylvania field. One member, "Big Blue Marble,"
said "I have
lived 61 years, lost my parents and my sister plus many many pets and
this
is the darkest day of my life." Another member, "zulchzulu,"
implied that
he/she would like to see President Bush dead. "We can only hope
that Bush
doesn't make it through four years," he/she said. "The day
Bush is no longer
president before the term ends will be a national week-long holiday
in my
World." Another blogger imagined that because of President Bush's
victory in
the election, "there will be another 9/11." However, not all
of the
Democratic Underground's members joined in the Bush-bashing.
"Independent429" chastised others who had compared the election
aftermath to
9/11. "Living breathing human beings died that day! How can that
compare to
losing an election?" He/she added, that, "I've been a Democrat
for three
days and already feel like going back to Independent!" Another
member who
uses the moniker, "Bush was AWOL" said "comparing losing
an election to 9/11
is not mainstream and is why we lose." "NurseLefty" responded
by saying that
those who think 9/11 is worse are short-sighted. He/she said that there
are
"those of us who see the ramifications of the second Bush term.
Sorry my
friends, it [Nov. 3] IS worse than 9/11." (Wasn't that long ago,
the
favorite phrase coming out of the liberal side was "Get over it!"
....Well?......)
*More Flat Earth Society... from the UK
November 5, 04 UK: School told to drop its 'offensive' saint's name.
From
The Telegraph: "A C of E (Anglican Church of England) school has
been told
to drop the word "saint" from its name in case it offends
other religious
groups. The practice of calling schools after saints or bishops alienates
people from other faiths and non-believers, say officials and councillors
in
Islington, north London. The row is over the name of the first Church
of
England secondary school to be built in the borough, which lost control
of
education five years ago after Ofsted found it was running some of the
worst
schools in the country. Islington council plans to incorporate the existing
St Mary Magdalene Church of England Primary School into a new City Academy
for five- to 18-year-olds. The church, which is giving £2 million
towards
building costs, has been told by the local authority - a partner in
the
scheme - that the name of the new school cannot be religious. James
Kempton,
children and young people spokesman for the council's ruling Liberal
Democrat party, said a consultation had been launched because of concerns
over the use of the word "saint". "We want to create
a school that is open
to everybody in the community, not a school that selects through the
back
door," he said. "We need to ensure this is a school which
is appropriate for
Islington in the 21st century. Church-going is now a much less significant
part of people's lives."
