| *Iran
Through heroic and valiant efforts on the part of the Iranian military,
a
British invasion of Iran has been thwarted. Well, actually, it was 8 Brits
in 3 small naval gunboats who went off course by about 1/2 mile from
international boundaries (plainly marked on the water as they are....)
having absolutely no desire whatsoever to go to a shi-hole like Iran.
Strong
suggestion to Iranians: Don't get stupid! There are lots more where they
came from, and they have friends!
*Iraq
Mohammed's Finest have apparently done it again. Murdered the Korean guy:
making sure first he was unarmed, bound, and outnumbered 5 to 1. (Still
one
interesting point: why was he begging and pleading and crying for his
life
in English, not Korean? ) Notice how many of these "little sheet
heads"
don't seem to want to take their chances meeting Allah through battle
with
armed men? (from Debkafile: "In three weeks, al Qaeda has executed
14
captive Americans or allied nationals in Saudi Arabia and Iraq by beheading
or cutting their throats.")
*Saudi
"A puzzling aspect of the situation in Saudi Arabia is the speed
with which
al-Muqrin was located and killed (if indeed this is eventually confirmed)
.
It appears most likely Saudi security forces knew his location all along.
A
fundamentalist Islamic site in the Middle East reported this weekend that
Saudi security forces had been penetrated by al Qaeda (an obvious conclusion
months ago) and had participated in the kidnapping (unconfirmed at this
time
and likely to remain so at least publicly).
Summarizing the situation, it is difficult to confirm anything other than
the fact that Paul Johnson was indeed killed and beheaded. Actual cause
of
death has not been confirmed at this time, but that may change very soon.
A
tape of the execution is reported to exist but has not been recovered
by
Ag-Security.com at this time."

An Apology to Arabs
"For good and ill, the Iraqi prisoner abuse mess will remain an issue.
On
the one hand, right thinking Americans will abhor the stupidity of the
actions while on the other hand, political glee will take control and
fashion this minor event into some modern day My Lai massacre.
I heard some Arabs and Muslims are asking for an apology. I humbly offer
mine here:
I am sorry that the last seven times we Americans took up arms and
sacrificed the blood of our youth, it was in the defense of Muslims (Bosnia,
Kosovo, Gulf War 1, Kuwait, etc.).
I am sorry that no such call for an apology upon the extremists came
after
9/11. I am sorry that all of the murderers on 9/11 were Islamic Arabs.
I am sorry that most Arabs and Muslims have to live in squalor under
savage
dictatorships. I am sorry that their leaders squander their wealth. I
am
sorry that their governments breed hate for the US in their religious
schools, mosques, and government-controlled media.
I am sorry that Yasir Arafat was kicked out of every Arab country and
highjacked the Palestinian "cause". I am sorry that no other
Arab country
will take in or offer more than a token amount of financial help to those
same Palestinians.
I am sorry that the USA has to step in and be the biggest financial
supporter of poverty stricken Arabs while the insanely wealthy Arabs blame
the USA for all their problems.
I am sorry that our own left wing elite, our media, and our own brainwashed
(from elements of our society like radical professors, CNN and the NY
TIMES)
masses do not understand any of this. I am sorry the United Nations scammed
the poor people of Iraq out of the "food for oil" money so they
could get
rich while the common folk suffered.
I am sorry that some Arab governments pay the families of homicide bombers
upon their death. I am sorry that those same bombers are brainwashed
thinking they will receive 72 virgins in "paradise."
I am sorry that the homicide bombers think pregnant women, babies, children
the elderly and other noncombatant civilians are a legitimate targets.
I am sorry that our troops die to free more Arabs from the gang rape
rooms
and the filling of mass graves of dissidents of their own making.
I am sorry that Muslim extremists have killed more Arabs than any other
group.
I am sorry that foreign trained terrorists are trying to seize control
of
Iraq and return it to a terrorist state. I am sorry we don't drop a few
dozen Daisy Cutters on Fallujah.
I am sorry every time terrorists hide they find a convenient "Holy
Site". I
am sorry they didn't apologize for driving a jet into the World Trade
Center
that collapsed and severely damaged Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church
-
one of our Holy Sites.
I am sorry they didn't apologize for flight 93 and 175, the USS Cole,
the
embassy bombings, the murders and beheadings of Nick Berg and Daniel Pearl,
etc....etc!
I am sorry Michael Moore is American; he could feed a medium sized village
in Africa.
America will get past this latest absurdity. We will punish those
responsible because that is what we do. We hang out our dirty laundry
for
all the world to see. We move on. That's one of the reasons we are hated
so
much. We don't hide this stuff like all those Arab countries that are
now
demanding an apology.
Deep down inside, when most Americans saw this reported in the news,
we were
like - so what? We lost hundreds and made fun of a few prisoners.
Sure, it was wrong, sure, it dramatically hurts our cause, but until
captured we were trying to kill these same prisoners. Now we're supposed
to
wring our hands because a few were humiliated? Our compassion is tempered
with the vivid memories of our own people killed, mutilated and burnt
amongst a joyous crowd of celebrating Fallujans.
If you want an apology from this American, you're going to have a long
wait.
You have a better chance of finding those 72 virgins." (Hoooah!)
*This is a great story that exemplifies the spirit of American Warriors.
Enjoy! Guy G.
Sent: Jun 22, 2004 Open Letter:
"Nobody was here to see this. There was no red carpet, no news reporters,
and the Public Affairs Office hadn't started snapping their photos yet.
These guys weren't looking for a photo op, they were out here standing
around in shorts and t-shirts and jeans high-fiving Marines on a dusty
LZ
for only one reason: they cared. And it showed.
Once things settled down and we were ready to drive from the LZ to the
concert area, Nugent took a seat in a Humvee and I sat down next to him.
We chatted briefly about a few things, but I had a bigger concern: after
inquiring about the state of his hunger, it turned out The Nuge hadn't
had
any chow for several hours. I knew refreshments were set up at the backstage
area, but I also realized these guys would be mobbed. The thing of it
is...
they expected it. And they really didn't care. They wouldn't sleep until
0300 at the earliest, and they knew they'd be back on stage at 0800 the
next
day.
So, I did what any Marine of any rank would have done in the same situation:
I ripped open a couple of MREs, rifled through them, and grabbed the items
that were easiest to eat in a hurry.
The Nuge was impressed: "Yeah man! Improvise, adapt, and overcome,
baby!!"
As a Marine, I couldn't help but enjoy being around someone whose wild
side
is well-advertised, but who takes such unabashed pride in pouring their
heart and soul into their life. One of the doors on the Humvee kept slipping
ajar, and in a move reminiscent of any Lance Corporal, Ted whipped out
his
Gerber multi-tool and jimmied with the hinge until it was fixed to his
satisfaction.
Furthermore, Ted kept telling me that if we took incoming, "my Glock
10 is
loaded and I'm ready to rock and roll!" Being well inside the perimeter
of
our base, Nugent and his Glock 10 probably wouldn't do much against a
mortar
or rocket attack.
I made a mental note that if anything happened, I would have to dive
on top
of The Nuge and pin him down, if for no other reason than to keep him
from
endangering my Marines or himself (rock star or not, Marines don't react
well to weapons pointed in their direction).
The show itself was a huge success. Toby and "Uncle Ted" obviously
enjoyed
being together and playing together, Nugent wisecracked they were "just
like
Lennon and McCartney, only with guns!" It was amazing to see: two
major
stars accustomed to performing in ornate stadiums and with sound systems
that would blow the ears off a dozen jumbo elephants, standing around
on a
bare stage with nothing but two acoustic guitars and two microphones.
They hadn't showered in about three days. There was no manager, no make-up
person, and no costume changes. It was clear that these two entertainers
were saying thanks not only by playing for Marines, but by playing for
Marines on Marine terms. They were tired, hungry, and dirty. But they
were
enjoying every minute of it. And so were we.
Ted and I chatted more after the show, and I got a picture snapped with
him
before he and Toby Keith jumped back onto the Blackhawk at 0145. Nugent
isn't a man who is shy about his opinion, and even in the times when I
found
myself generally agreeing with his points, I could see how people who
pride
themselves on being refined or intellectual would be put off by his brash
and aggressive nature. For me... well, Marines are aggressive by nature,
and
Ted fit in with our crowd just fine.
As I waved goodbye and reflected on my time with The Nuge, I realized
I
didn't remember much of his music. I'm sure most of his songs were grand
odes to wine, women, and song. I don't know if he ever sang anything that
exuded nobility. But I know this: Ted Nugent and Toby Keith earned my
respect as men tonight.
The pair of entertainers, their assistants, and two USO workers set foot
in
a war zone where anything could happen; they knew they could be attacked
at
any time. For these civilians, that risk was worth the reward of expressing
the gratitude of America towards those sent into harm's way. They did
it
because they cared.
Thanks guys. You can rock and roll with us any time. But, Ted, if you
plan
to come back, bring a rifle instead of a Glock and stay a couple of days.
It sounds to me like we need to work you into the watch rotation out
on the
perimeter."

*Polio outbreak expected in African countries
Africa is on the brink of the biggest polio epidemic in recent years,
with
the crippling disease re-emerging in Sudan's conflict-ravaged Darfur region,
the World Health Organization said Tuesday. "There is no question
that the
virus is spreading at an alarming pace,'' said Dr. David Heymann, who
heads
the U.N. health agency's attempts to eradicate polio by Jan. 1, 2005.
WHO
confirmed that a child was paralyzed by polio on May 20 in Darfur, the
first
case in Sudan in more than three years. So far this year, the number of
polio cases globally has reached 333, almost double that reported in the
first six months of 2003. Nigeria, with 257 cases, is hardest hit. Total
cases last year reached 783. When WHO and other organizations launched
the
Global Polio Eradication Initiative in 1988, around 1,000 children were
infected every day. Although the number of individual cases today looks
relatively small to non-specialists, anti-polio experts are worried, said
Bruce Aylward, who coordinates the polio initiative at WHO. "Right
now we're
at the end of the low season of polio,'' he told reporters. "This
is right
when polio should be at its lowest level. It suggests that the virus is
gathering steam to come roaring out.'' Epidemiologists fear a major epidemic
this fall -- the start of the polio "high season'' -- leaving thousands
of
African children paralyzed for life, the WHO said. The disease has struck
in
9 sub-Saharan African countries this year after being limited to only
two at
the beginning of last year.
*and Rabies in China
China's Health Ministry said here Thursday that tuberculosis retained
the
highest incidence rate in May [2004] on the Chinese mainland among all
reported infectious diseases, and rabies remained the top killer. The
ministry said rabies had the highest death rate among the communicable
diseases on the Chinese mainland, followed by AIDS, infant tetanus and
epidemic cerebrospinal meningitis. [If human rabies runs to more than
1000
cases a year, this means more than 100 cases per month. Rabies can easily
be
the leading cause of death by infection. The rabies situation in China
is
much worse than anyone could have imagined. Mayer
*What is a superdollar?
BBC 19 June, 2004
"The superdollar is the name given to an almost perfect forgery of
an
American banknote. Millions of dollars of the fake cash have been passed
into circulation since its existence was first noticed over a decade ago.
The money, officially known as Note Family - C14342, is thought to originate
from communist North Korea. Experts believe that the money is being produced
and flooded into the system, mostly by North Korean diplomats as they
travel
abroad. It is also circulated by criminals - with the Russian mafia and
even
Republican organisations in Northern Ireland involved in the distribution
process. I brought some of these counterfeit notes to South Korea, and
I
showed them to the experts in the South Korean intelligence agency. They
said these are not fake notes; they're real. One school of thought is
that
it is part of a plan to try to destabilise the American economy by putting
millions and millions of dollars into the system. However, North Korea
dismisses the allegations and says that the claims being made against
it are
just Western propaganda. What is known, is that in the late 1980s, US
Intelligence discovered that the North Korean government had acquired
a
highly sophisticated printing press, known as the intaglio. This press
is
similar to the one used to print money in the US and would give North
Korea
the ability to produce sophisticated banknotes if they wanted to. Further
evidence comes from defectors, whose stories all seem to be consistent
with
US claims. Although it is impossible to corroborate their stories, they
appear to be consistent. One defector who spoke to Panorama on the condition
of anonymity said he had spent his life making counterfeit US dollars,
adding that they were such good quality that they fooled experts. He said:
"The counterfeiting was all done at government level. We had a special
plant
for doing it. "When I defected I brought some of these counterfeit
notes to
South Korea, and I showed them to the experts in the South Korean
intelligence agency. They said - these are not fake notes. They're real."
Another defector said: "We bought the best of everything - the best
equipment and the best ink. But we also had the very best people, people
who
had real expertise and knowledge in the field. "When government officials
or
diplomats travelled to south-east Asia they distributed the counterfeit
notes mixed in with the real one's, at a ratio of about 50-50." "Panorama:
The superdollar plot" was broadcast on BBC One on Sunday, 20
June 2004 at 22:15 BST (Same thing been happening out of the Bekka Valley
in
Lebanon for about 15 years now.)
*Piracy
Commercial ships plying the Straits of Malacca have again been warned
of
pirate attacks and kidnapping of crew. Over the last four weeks, Indonesian
pirates had struck nine times and kidnapped four captains and four chief
engineers from four vessels. However, six of the hostages were released
after undisclosed sums were paid to the kidnappers, while a shipping company
is negotiating for the release of the two remaining hostages, a captain
and
his chief engineer. All the attacks and kidnappings were reported at the
tip
of the northern Sumatra-Aceh coast. The rise in attacks and kidnapping
cases
in recent weeks is worrying shippers plying the world's busiest channel.
This has also prompted the International Maritime Bureau (IMB), an ocean
crime watchdog, to warn ships plying the route to stay away from the Sumatra
coast. The warning is also broadcast to the shippers via the International
Maritime Satellite (INMARSATC), which is transmitted daily. IMB piracy
reporting centre regional manager Noel Chong said ships have also been
told
to step up their anti-piracy watch on deck to prevent them from being
a
target. He said they had reported the attacks and kidnappings to the
Indonesian authorities, asking them to step up their anti-piracy patrols
off
the coast. Chong said they believe there were more attempted attacks on
ships that were not reported to IMB. In all the nine reported attacks,
pirates armed with guns and in high-speed boats were involved in stopping
the ships. Chong said some ships were fired at when they refused to stop.
In
one incident, two sailors were injured when pirates fired on the vessel.
In
another case, the windows on the bridge of a ship were shattered after
pirates sprayed bullets at it. Chong said this kidnapping trend is worrying
shippers. (Ya think?? Maybe why - reported in the previous bulletin -
the
Indonesians are going to a shoot-on-site policy)
(Where else are you going to get this stuff?? - editor)
