As for the United Nations... whoever kills Kofi Annan, or his envoy to Iraq, or his representative like al-Akhdar al-Ibrahimi, he will receive 10,000 grams of gold. A reward of 1,000 grams of gold for killing any military or civilian individual from the Veto countries like the Americans or the British. At least 16 people were killed and at least 38 injured. - On 26 May, two explosive devices detonated near the Pak-American Cultural Center in Karachi, Pakistan. The first blast injured two people. The second blast was larger and detonated 25 minutes after the first. Two police officers were injured in the second blast. - On 25 May, an improvised explosive device detonated near a US military patrol in Fallujah, Iraq. Pfc. Richard H. Rosas, 21, and Pfc. James P. Lambert, 23, both from the 3rd Battalion, 62nd Air Defense Artillery, 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry) were killed. - On 24 May, an explosion occurred near the entrance to the Green Zone in Baghdad, Iraq. An armored civilian car was destroyed and four people, including two British civilians, were killed. It was reported that there were multiple cars involved in the attack, including several people who began shooting after the explosion. - On 23 May, an explosive device was detonated on a bus along the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway in Kashmir. Twenty-five security personnel were killed and 10 injured. - On 22 May, a suicide bomber detonated explosives at the Beqaot roadblock in the northern part of the Jordan Valley in Israel. An Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) soldier was injured. - On 22 May, an explosive device detonated as a UAZ jeep carrying combined police detachment personnel from the Tver regional Internal Affairs Inspectorate was passing the Katyr-Yurt settlement in Achkhoy-Martanovskiy district in Chechnya.
