Bush Makes Case for Antiterror Act, ACLU Leader Cautions About Vanishing Rights

"The event, in Buffalo's Kleinhans Music Hall, marked the third time in four days that Bush has spoken out in favor of the act, which gave the government new powers to investigate and prosecute suspected terrorists." Also on Tuesday, Larry Frankel, legislative director for the Pennsylvania American Civil Liberties Union, "encouraged the Central Pennsylvania chapter [of the ACLU] to be vigilant about their civil liberties," reports the Centre Daily Times. |
