New York: Pataki Uses Bush's Visit to Make Case for Antiterrorism Bills

"Gov. George E. Pataki, who has been battling for two years to get the State Legislature to pass a set of laws that he says will help combat terrorism, sought to bolster his case on Tuesday in the refracted light of a presidential visit," according to the New York Times. "President Bush was in town to make a case that the Patriot Act has made America safer, choosing Buffalo as the backdrop because of the successful prosecution of young Yemeni men from nearby Lackawanna in a terrorism-related case."
